Laureate Books is an independent publishing house devoted to creating definitive physical editions of consequential works.
The House
Editorial fidelity and material ambition, considered together.
Each title is approached as a permanent editorial and material undertaking, with careful source preparation, original artwork, deliberate typography, and a range of Expressions created for different readers and collectors.
Laureate is organized as one House with many Libraries. Each Library is a durable commitment to a field of thought rather than a temporary campaign or separate imprint. The Metaphysical Library is the first.

Important books deserve more than temporary treatment.
Laureate Books grew from Shane Schuldt’s conviction that consequential works should be preserved faithfully, designed with purpose, and made as objects capable of remaining in readers’ libraries for generations.
Shane directs Laureate’s editorial development, visual identity, and long-term publishing program. The ambition is not simply to produce attractive books, but to establish a House whose editions become the versions readers trust, preserve, and pass forward.

The House Principles
The standard is part of the object.
Every material claim must be true.
If an edition is described as handmade, archival, limited, or permanent, the object must justify the language.
Mystery belongs to the art, not the transaction.
Laureate may preserve a reveal, but never conceal the bargain.
Every Work must earn its place.
A title is not published merely because it is available, fashionable, or convenient.
An edition should be built for permanence.
Design, typography, materials, and manufacture are considered parts of the same editorial act.
Stewardship continues after publication.
Provenance, numbering, replacement, and archival records remain responsibilities of the House.
The long work

The House begins by establishing the Metaphysical Library through the works of H. P. Blavatsky and a deliberate program of foundational metaphysical texts.
Other Libraries will follow only when their opening Works, production paths, and long-term programs are ready. Growth is not measured by how quickly Laureate can announce a catalog, but by how faithfully it can sustain one.
